Delta Risk holds Cyber Incident Management training course for the San Antonio Office of Emergency Management
In cooperation with the City of San Antonio and the San Antonio Office of Emergency Management, Delta Risk LLC held a
two-day cyber course providing the latest in incident response and cyber defense tactics on July 26-27, 2011. Cyber
Incident Management is a two-day class offering the latest in incident response and cyber defense tactics. Being prepared
for cyber attacks by understanding how attacks occur and what defensive actions are available during an incident will help
mitigate potential losses of data, services, or operational capabilities. Students studied the NIST framework for incident
response and fill in the gaps with tactical concepts and industry best-practices that can be implemented in an enterprise
incident response plan.
The course was held at the San Antonio Emergency Operations Center. Participants included 15 students from city, county and local organizations such as the 24th Air Force, CPS Energy, USAA, Christus Santa Rosa, Univ. Health System, San Antonio, and UTSA CIAS. The Cyber Incident Management course was held in support of the mayor's cyber security awareness efforts which will culminate in a capstone exercise in October 2011.
